^i'd chalk it up to 'clever use of game mechanics' as opposed to cheating. i'm not sympathesizing with the cheaters and i havent done it but seems like they'd rather ban then patch or fix the game..

It's called boosting.
You might have heard the term Nuke Boosting from MW2?
No, they aren't banning accounts for it, but they are wiping your stats if you boost. Don't take any chances.
BTW, I've been playing around with the UMP-45, it IS as overpowered as everybody says it is. So much damage with so little recoil and deadly accurate even at medium range. It's ridiculous.

I got 3100 points doing the C4 vehicle thing from the 'Operation Asshat' video. It's so easy to kill people when they try to take sites and don't see my rigged Jeep sitting there

Battlefield has ALWAYS had the best sound, going all the way back to BF1942. Remember when EAX was the hot shit, or even before that, A3D?
MW2 is basically a modded Quake 3 engine, so yeah....
