Ethical Dilemmas

One of the sauder applications questions I have asks for an ethical dilemma I have been in and how I dealt with it. I'm not sure if they would rather have someone who acts 100% according to what is morally correct or someone who finds a middle ground, but I'm thinking the latter.

Example - you and your friend have the same teacher in different blocks. You get tested first so you know what is on the test. Friend asks for the answers to the question.

What ethical/moral dilemmas have you been in? How did you deal with it?

say, i dont have a ethical dilemma because my beliefs ( about testing ) are more important than my friendships

I don't think they are looking for a 100% morally correct nor a middle ground solution. If they used your cheating dilemma, they might be looking for an answer that shows your understanding of ethics. If you are helping your one friend, does it not hurt your other friends who worked hard to honestly take the test. Does it truly benefit your friend by helping him cheat in the long run?

Interesting. I think I will take that approach to the question!:)

I don't want to use the cheating example but it's difficult to come up with a better example.
