PS2 emulation is awesome! FF12 in 1080P!
 

So I got my hands on a ps2 emulator the other day and ran ff12 on 1080p.. End result, damn nice looking visuals for a outdated generation console game, thought I'd share :D

which emulator did you use? I tried some before and it would be choppy on my computer.

Trying to play persona 4 which everyone says is an awesome game :3

I'm using the PCSX2 emulator version 0.9.7 with GSdx 3693 gfx plugin.

Settings are 1920x1080 internal resoluation and directX 11 enabled.

Getting 60fps.

Comp specs are

AMD 1055T @ 4.0ghz
evga superclocked GTX 460 @ 900 mhz core

With these settings I can play persona 4 perfectly fine as well. great game btw, until i deleted my save file by mistake and stopped playing lol!

Used this torrent for the emulator.

How is FF12? , I've beaten classic FF7 and FFX

ff12, imo, is one of the best ff out there.
Good story, nice world setting, intriguing battle system.
Feels like a MMO world but perfect catered to the single player experience.
The whole macro battle system is actually a delight to play around with.

hey are you guys able to use your Dualshock 3 with your PS2 emulator via drivers? apparently it's possible for the PS1 emulators so i'm just curious.

I'm using a PS2 controller hooked up to a USB adaptor... I don't know why I have the adaptor, but I think I bought it like at least 8 years ago when I tried to play SNES on my computer hahaha.

But yeah, the analog sticks work perfectly, you should definitely try out the PS3 ones w/ drivers.

And yeah I do really enjoy ff12 so far. the world is the most immersive. cities look alive and busy.

Battles are in semi-real time, it's pretty interesting and the main good thing about it is that there are soooo many side quests I heard you can spend a good 100+ hours trying to do them all.

Story picks up quite slow and is mainly about how a group of people react to their country being taken over by another country and its quite political and sophisticated.. I'm not really into virtual politics but they seem to make it kind of interesting enough for me to play on.

Also main character is kinda faggy, not to mention he has no real relevance to the plot itself either.

Currently about 20 hours in and still very interested in the game which is a good sign.

Yes, you can use your PS3 controller with Windows.

if you have a window version of xbox controller it'll work too. Thats what i'm using for dolphin emulator and pcxs2.

Trying to run this game with PCSX2 but I'm getting a blank screen. I can hear the sounds though lol. Anyone able to help me?

which graphics plugin are you using? can you go to the option for the plugin and show me your settings?
also, ur comp specs would be nice as well.
