Road Block - Oakridge

There are 4 RCMP officers pulling people over on southbound Cambie right by Oakridge Mall (near the GAP sign) using 2 unmarked grey Ford F-150's.

Beware.

This was about 10 minutes ago (around 5pm).

Hmm I drove by there not too long ago too. Didn't see any roadblocks

I saw them earlier when i was heading out. I dont think it was a roadblock. It was 2 moto-cops and 2 unmarked pick ups on the side of the street.

The Police didn't seem to hang around Cambie Street at any one spot for very long.

I have seen them setting up speed trap behind bus stop and pulled over a few cars, then in 5 mins, they were all gone.

yah i was there... they were checking for 'distracted drivers' i.e. txting/emailing or on their cell phones. it was wierd.. i was stopped at the lights at cambie and 41st..and i saw 2 plainclothes officers (one on each side of the road) looking into cars and talking as if they were signalling to the cops parked up the street by the mall.

Hey, no bad comments! These are exactly the type of drivers they should be catching.
