Vince McMahon vs McMahon Family. that was epic. Stephanie McMahon was fuckin' hot back in the day.

CKLCKL 02-15-2011 12:29 PM

FINALLY

Anyone there under the age of 20 really has no idea of The Rock's epicness. His last match was 7 years ago. Give another 5-7 years of buildup before that made him what he is. So even if you started watching WWF at 12 years old you would have to be early to mid 20's to really understand how huge he was. Seeing as how this is a family oriented WWE now most of the kids there really had no idea what was going on. They were like.. Why is the Tooth Fairy in the ring?

Berz out.

The Hype 02-15-2011 01:01 PM

As awesome as it is seeing him on WWE television, and as amazing as his promo was, I can't help but think it's a little detrimental to the WWE. Don't get wrong, the ratings for RAW and now the buyrate for Wrestlemania will surely go up, but... With that one promo, he made every single other WWE superstar on the roster right now (with a couple exceptions), look absolutely and utterly pathetic on the mic. No one even comes close right now, and that's pretty sad.

Tim Budong 02-15-2011 01:34 PM

Even during his reign, THE ROCK has made the rest of the roster look like idiots on the mic, with the exception of a few. The attitude era era also featured an edgier Jericho and Edge, look at them now, not as great on the mic, why? the WWE perspective has changed. They have to change if they are to succeed. Let them two run their mouth like THE ROCK was allowed to do in the ring and they will come maybe 1/4 of what the bar is. The attitude era had WAY MORE personality than what the fools are now.

John Cena tho, I'd like to see a heel turn. Can they do it? can you get the younger generation to BOO Cena? hard to say

EmperorIS 02-15-2011 01:38 PM

i actually want the rock to come back as a heel ... the rock was way more intense (and funnier) being a heel

Ch28 02-15-2011 01:44 PM

Now they need to bring back

If you watch some of Cena's old promo's he was pretty funny but there is only so much you can do with PG. Cena has eluded to it several times during his promos. Jericho was pretty good and The Miz is actually pretty good as well. Like I said though they are all just held back by the whole PG thing. You take The Rocks promo and make it like everyone else (They obviously just let him run his mouth this one time for old times sake) and it wouldn't have been half as epic as it was. How many times did The Rock say "ass" ? I don't even think he can do a promo without saying it so what are they going to do?

Volvo-brickster 02-15-2011 02:26 PM

i was hoping the host of wrestlemania would be Brock :(

TheKingdom2000 02-15-2011 02:32 PM

I've watched the entrance video like 100 times already. I honestly can not get enough of it!

and lol at the kids in the video that are cheering their heads off who have no idea who the rock is.

FerrariEnzo 02-15-2011 02:33 PM

so hes finally quit making movies?

dub.g 02-15-2011 02:39 PM

The Rock said he is back and will "never" leave again....

im assuming his contract is like Booker T, Steve Austin and Kevin Nash where they get paid per appearance

Nash came back as Diesel at Royal Rumble this year.

i highly doubt he quit acting for good.. at least this probably secures it that The Rock can make several appearances the entire year after Wrestlemania and not have to wait another 7 years..

dachinesedude 02-15-2011 02:56 PM

WWE will never go back to how WWF was like, even the name "WWE" doesnt sound right

wish i could watch the attitude era again, that was the best era ever

TLC match with the hardy's, the dudley's and edge + christian, ending with a jeff hardy swanton bomb off the balcony onto a stack of tables, awww yeee

The neighbourhoods we lived in and the overall city just seemed less shady too

did you grow up in 1941? because you sure sound like a change-resistant grandpa ranting about the good ol' days. you live in one of the cleanest, richest and healthiest cities in the world, GET OVER IT

The WWE really hit the jackpot with THe ROCK
Major media outlets has picked up his return, the ratings were huge, WWEshop online apparently crashed cuz everyone wanted that "I BRING IT" tee

Its a great lead to wrestlemania.

Mankind was knocked out for real in this match lol.

Well, time to start watching wrestling again.

LOL i remember arguing with my dad about how its real

"how is it fake? look stone colds bleeding! how do you fake that!?"

MarkyMark 02-15-2011 07:21 PM

Ah brings back memories. The best days were the Stone Cold vs The Corporation feud. Every week Austin was doing something crazy like driving a zamboni into ring and jumping off it to hit Vince, It was awesome.

Nightwalker 02-15-2011 07:29 PM

I'm actually interested in watching wrestling again, never thought that would happen! Watching old clips brings back old memories of watching it with my grandpa.

Oleophobic 02-15-2011 08:46 PM

wow I never knew triple H married stephanie mcmahon for real lol...

then again i stopped watching around 2000 or 2001 i believe so was out of the loop
back then when I was a kid watching the show I remember one episode they showed triple H drugging her and marrying her via a drive-by marriage in vegas in order to get back at vince.

back when I thought wrestling was real XD

keifun 02-15-2011 08:49 PM

SMACKDOWN HOTEL! on Know Your Role Blvd. and Jabroni Dr.

I too grew up watching The Rock and never really caught on with the newer generation liking John Cena. The Rock had much better talent on the mic than Cena will ever have.

Go on Justin.tv click the sports/wrestling tab. There are channels there that play all the attitude era and WCW vs. WWF rivalries :) I spend a lot of time there.
