Can I run 245 tires on a 7" wide wheel?

I have 215/45/17 on there now. Will 245s fit?

On 245/45/17 probably but with 245/40/17 which will be closer to the right size probably not. Most tires recommend 8" and up for 245. Best bet is to look it up

Try it, see what happens.

why would you do such a thing?

that'll look ugly as hell, even if it fits which I doubt it will.

245 is a good size on a 8.5".....

245 will be insanely beefy and truck like if they even fit properly. Stick to 205-215-225 width.

not true.

i'm running 245/45/17 on a 17x8.

if you're slammed, you can't even tell whether or not they look beefy.

they fit fine. I'm tucking them atm.

245/45/17 is quite beefy haha, take a look at some 4th gen camaros/firebirds with 17s on .
