forgot, might have been for computer parts or a game?

EDIT: checked my feedback. It was with silverteg21 and it must have been for a game :)

InvisibleSoul 02-23-2011 08:52 AM

Going by my feedback thread, looks like I bought something from Synarchist back in 2004... I have no idea what it was though. :p

AzNightmare 02-23-2011 05:47 PM

Bought a set of used (slightly scratched) blue lug nuts for $90.

Back then, didn't know what Craigslist was. I probably could have gotten new ones for cheaper than that.
But none the less, good B/S experience. My first transaction in my life.

drunkrussian 02-23-2011 05:52 PM

if your still on here buddy go fuck yourself

If he changed accounts, I think you could get a mod to check his IP or something and trace it back to his account now.

Unless it's been too long. I don't know.
Oh wait. He's still active.

-First lowball I've ever received for said camera was from bcrdukes
-First laptop purchased on RS was a Toshiba M30 from Nssan that I still have (and works)
-First subwoofer install was done by orgasm_donar (still have it in my Impreza)
-First car purchased on RS was a Toyota Paseo from 604Cefiro

LOL

I signed up to Revscene to look for rims for my civic. Ended up getting 17" Konig Verdict rims. I have no clue who it was.

Bought my first car, '87 Cressida off of bcrdukes.

I bought my RX7 off Revscene. Six years later I still have it. Might be recognizable. Only changed body parts, most of the interior and most of the mechanicals.

I think it was a good transaction.

a couple of years ago...
bought a lenovo laptop off Razor Ramon HG
actually I saw his ad on craigslist first but he also posted here on RS so it sorta counts. (though I didn't know he posted here as I never go to the buy/sell section until I found out who he was on RS after I bought his laptop).

nice guy I met him at his house, tried it out everything was perfect.

even the password to his msn, facebook, paypal, gmail, hotmail, RFD account, REVscene account and other passwords were saved on those sites without me having to type anything! Seriously awesome deal for $750.

too bad I emailed him back immediately after finding out to tell him to change his passwords :p

(sorry HG, don't hate lol I couldn't resist)

Razor Ramon HG 02-23-2011 11:10 PM

I blame it on CCleaner :lol

Good to see some these tranactions helped us somewhat with our lives. Cars , laptops etc. I"ve saved alot of money in the long run using revscene bns . It not as busy as it use to be . I remember when there was shitloads of stuff for sale in all the categories . I blame it on the Nazi mods and the super stiff rules. I always thought revscene had the potential to be as big as eBay and craigslist.

Hate to say it but this is a give and take situation.

Would you rather have jackasses on the B&S selling fake shit all over the place and retards creating fake accounts to bump and create fake seller/buyer ratings or have the "nazi" mods with super stiff rules?

I do a lot of my selling/buying on RS even if it is at a discount/premium because I find there is a type of security from selling/buying on RS. Say what you want but I'd rather buy from someone on RS than CL because I can see what they post, where they post and most importantly, how they post.

It's debatable . I think for most people it's was a convenience thing. People didn't take time to double check thier post for mistakes and didnt have time to make sure thier ads were proper with the rules. Majority of people are just plain lazy.

I think the feedback and ratings section was a great idea for security . That should of been enough

Feedback system that we're waiting to be implemented.

In fact, the entire B&S is being renovated at the moment.

mmmk 02-24-2011 12:46 AM

I remember buying a set of white Motegi MR7's way back in 03 when I got my first car. Don't remember from who though.

UFO 02-25-2011 04:10 PM

Awesome thread.

I think my first item was a Fuji 1.4mp brick like digicam I bought off Mikroft, for $300 2001/2002 bucks, back when film cameras still ruled most stores. But I needed it so I could take pictures of stuff to sell off on RS BnS. Oh how times have changed, lol.
