Cartunes Car Audio, Help us build a car audio system contest!
 

Cartunes Sound and Cellular is pleased to announce the best contest ever! What is it you ask? Design a system and win some great prizes by Audison, Hertz, Cartunes and Wings Restaurant!

The specifics:

The car will be a 2011 Honda Civic Coupe.
Design a system using the lines that Cartunes carries.
System value to be $5,000.00 at MSRP not including tax or installation.

The rules:

No cost to enter.
Must register for the contest by ‘liking’ the Cartunes Sound & Cellular Facebook page or by sending an email to Stefan@cartunes.ca by March 15th at midnite.
Contest closes for design entries March 31, 2011 at midnite
Entries submitted via email after that time will not be accepted.
Finalists announced on April 9th, 2011
Prizes awarded at Cartunes Sound & Cellular April 16th, 2011
Prizes are awarded as is and have no cash value
Top 10 entries to receive prizes.
Must be present to accept prizes
May be asked to do a presentation on design explaining the reasons for the choices made
One design entry per person.
Employees of the consumer electronics industry and their immediate family cannot enter - Judges reserve the right to deny entry if this is in question
Entries will be judged by a panel of 3 with the judges decision being final

Things to keep in mind.

Be thoughtful in your design, take the time to research the vehicle.
Give thorough explanations of why you chose your products
This is designing a complete system, think of all the things that you would need/want if it was your vehicle
Take consideration of illustrations to better convey your design ideas

Points will be awarded for creativity, functionality, ergonomics.

Prizes
1st place will be something from Audison – we’re not going to say what it is just yet but it’s from Audison so you know it’s going to be pretty epically cool!
2nd place will be something from Hertz – again we’re going to tease you a bit with that
3rd place will receive a gift certificate from Cartunes Sound & Cellular
4th-10th place will receive an honorable mention and a $25.00 gift certificate from Wings Restaurant each.

Questions can be asked on the Cartunes Facebook page wall – feel free to post your questions there as it will allow other people to get the answers to possibly the same questions.

Entries can be submitted in person to Cartunes Sound & Cellular, 2700 Barnet Hwy, Coquitlam or by emailing them to Stefan@cartunes.ca

Were can we find MSRP prices?

If you are not familiar with a 2011 Honda Civic Coupe, through courtesy of Westwood Honda we will have one in our showroom beginning Saturday March 19th through til the end of the contest. Please feel free to come by and get familiar with the car and of the lines we carry to make the best presentation.

As posting afull list of mrsps might prove to be confusing we will be posting a link with the mainstream product msrps. if you have a specific product msrp request please contact us.

after talking with many people at the revscene meet on sunday - alot of people said that they werent aware of this contest. with that in mind, we have decided to eliminate the pre-registration aspect. so you can all submit designs to win some great prizes!

Thank you for all the entries received! The response was overwhelming and some people came up with some amazing ideas! We will be narrowing the entries down to the 10 finalists and informing them within the next week. The prizes that they will by vying for will be:

1st Place - Audison LRX 3.1 Amplifier
2nd Place - Hertz Mille Component Speakers
3rd Place - $200 Gift Certificate from Cartunes
4th -10th - $ 25 Gift Card Courtesy of Wings Restaurant
