Why isn't there a "following too close for conditions" ticket?

One can very safely travel at the posted speed limit if they simply increased their following distance to compensate for the increased stopping distance caused by the wet road.

Back in New Zealand they had a charge under the Highway Traffic Act called..."failing to stop in the clear distance ahead". It fitted everything...speeding, following too close, going off road right/left in a corner etc. Wish we had one here in BC. It would make things much easier.

I think you probably should've gone faster than 62 km/hr. It was only snowing big deal. Next time try to speed over 20+km/hr or else you're just lame. No cop will give you a ticket for going 20km/hr or more in the snow because they know how cool it is.
