Shanghai's new one dog policy

interesting. is there really a problem in Shanghai for this?

Quote:

China passed the one-child policy a while ago, so that they can control the population. Now, Shanghai just passed a new law, one-dog policy just to control the dog population. The new policy be in effect starting May 15th, 2011. The new policy says the dog owners who give their dog’s puppies away, must be given to people who have no dogs or given to government approved adoption places before the puppies are 3 months old. Right now, anyone who has more than two dogs, legally, are allowed to keep them. But right now, Shanghai estimates that there are about 800,000 dogs in the city, and only a quarter of that is registered. The government hopes that this will help the city as a whole, decreasing the amount of barking noise, poop not being picked up, and dog attacks.

Wonder what people will start doing to get more dogs, obviously people in China are going to find a way to keep more than one dog.

I have no problem paying dog licensing fee here because I see it being put to use on dog parks, poop bags on trails and people who goes around checking the license and various public awareness things.

In Guangzhou dog license fee is now 10000 rmb a year. And there is no dog parks no public awareness no enforcement no stray programs. If you ever lose your dog the "registry" is a joke. All the money I imagine is being spent by related officials in totally unrelated ways. Just a rant. Cool story huh

^ how, or why?

Tim Budong 03-01-2011 09:25 PM

in chinese Turtle is considered "hot air"
i honestly dont kno how to properly translate this

SpuGen 03-01-2011 09:42 PM

Actually, Turtle Jelly (Gwai Ling Guo) is "leurng" Cold/Cooling.

You're supposed to eat it when you have pimples. to balance out the Hot Air "Yeet Hei"

If you're getting pimples from eating the Jelly, it's because of the Herbal Content in it cleaning out the shit in your body.

If you have Acne problems, you're supposed to have 田七 + Ginseng Soup. No idea what the first one is called in English, but you can find them at any Herbal Shop. Or just ask your mom what it is.
(Farm Seven) "Teen Chut"

Looks like this. It's a root. Looks like poo.

田七 + Ginseng Soup is also a good cleanser if you smoke/drink/have bruises. It cleans the crap out of your blood or something. (Antioxidant?)
A bowl of this will send you to the washroom to have the darkest shit in your life. I'm guessing that means it works.
