Looking at a DA with b20 swap

So I found a DA I'm interested in. It's got a crv engine and auto trans. Owner says the speedometer cable is broken causing the Trans light and the S gear light to stay on.
My question is does it seem like the speedo cable will fix the issue or could it be something more serious?
