go with HiJack this a very simple and easy program but extremely effective, http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/
it's one of the best solutions out there, will literally find almost everything that's hidden and hijacking your PC.

I been using it for years and years, it has never failed me, actually had your exact same issue the other month, thought about reinstalling Windows again but tried HiJack This, it was able to locate the files and fix the problem for me

is it firefox?

about:config
look for browser.search.defaultenginename
or enter some keyword regarding the funky website
remove the key ..

Check your HOSTS file.

thanks for advice, I went with hijack this, but am unsure what to do after the scan, should I fix everything that popped up?

It's effective, but so are Superantispyware and Malwarebytes. I've had a spyware on my PC that I couldn't clean it with most of the best anti-spyware programs including hijackthis, and it still didn't work.

Sometimes formatting is the only solution.

This worked like a charm. Was having stupid Internet Redirects at work.

Nooooo... Hijackthis is for advanced users that know which entries are good and which entries are bad... it is not advisable to remove everything listed.

Whatever the case, it's hard to say how to fix it... sometimes it could be something as simple has host file entries... other times running anti-malware software can fix it... but sometimes the hooks are so deep that it's almost impossible to get rid of.

I have fixed many, many computers in my time... but I have met my match on a couple occasions where I could not get rid of redirects like this.

You're a Windows user aren't you? :p Either that or you visit too many porn sites - or both.
