Quicktime CPU or GPU.
 
Is quicktime playback CPU or GPU dependent?

broadband dependant!

i think it it would be GPU, since its handles all the video processing...

I'm taking about video stored on the computer.

Video file has to be H.264, so the GPU can be used.
On a Mac the GPU has to be newer than a Nvidia 9400M.
Everything else should be CPU.


Don't know about windows.

So playing a QT file from my Canon T2i can be run on a fast computer with a crappy video card?
