Dynex TV as a computer monitor What do you guys think of using a 24 inch 1080P Dynex TV for a computer monitor? http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/...dde6983aeden02 |
had a dynex 27'' and 32'' 720p n 1080p, used them both as a computer monitor (currently using a samsung 46" 1080p) and it did its job really well depending on how far you sit from the monitor, you may have to adjust your sharpness level etc. if u are running HDMI, otherwise its a solid tv for the price IMO |
I'd say go for it...its all pros and no cons to me IMO. |
I don't have direct experience w/ a Dynex, but I had a Vizio 37" as a monitor for a while and noticed the refresh rates were too high for gaming especially shooters, and switched back to a normal sized monitor for my pc. |
A 24" 1080p lcdtv is essentially the same as a 24" compter lcd. I use a vizio 26" 1080p and it works fine. |
I didn't want to create a new thread so I thought I'd ask here. I'm in the market for a new TV and I am planning on using it as a computer monitor as well. Based on my own knowledge and what I've read online, I've kinda figured out the following: TV: to ensure optimal viewing I'm thinking of the following specs for my TV: at least 32", I'm probably getting one bigger than that because I really want to use it as a TV as well obviously Samsung (don't want any inferior brands but if anyone has other suggestions outside of Samsung let me know) LED 1080p (720p not clear enough--huge pixels) any other specs I should be aware of? I also want to ensure I won't have problems connecting it to my computer to use as a monitor. Most HDTVs have HDMI ports, but my desktop has a DVI. Simple solution = get a DVI to HDMI wire? Is there anything else I should be aware of just to ensure I won't have any issues with connecting it to my desktop? Any help would be appreciated. I'm really out of the loop with regards to TVs. Thanks |
Just get DVI to HDMI adapter/wire. I used one previously on my older 9600GT and it worked fine. I know have a video card with native HDMI out. |
