Need Some Photography Advice :)

Sup guys,

Ive been a lurker around these parts for quite some time now and i want to take the next step into becoming a better photographer. Some may say good equipment is not necessary but i need to move on from my Point and Shoot Canon IS1200. :failed:

Majority of your photos truly inspire me and I' am glad u guys all share them here.:fullofwin: So i would like to take the next big step and buy a DSLR but i just dont know which one..

Ive been looking around FutureShop, Best Buy ect and ill be honest all those nice cameras seem the same to me so what would be good for a beginner? Not really willing to spend a fortune but want a good intermediate DSLR that i will not want to upgrade from once i get better.

Plus as for technique some photos are truly outstanding with perfect lighting, color, sharpness.. Is that all achieved with the camera it self or post editing with photoshop? I would really love to know...

Anyway sorry for sounding like a complete noob with a bunch of questions but got so start somewhere right? hehe

Thx for any feedback!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

When I was new, I read 3 books that helped me get started. Scott Kelby's The Digital Photography Book. Volume 1 2 and 3. http://www.amazon.ca/Digital-Photography-Book-Scott-Kelby/dp/032147404X
If you don't want to buy them, you can always get them in other (free) ways (cough).
