EG - will these wheels work with this drop?

'94 EG sedan

-Neuspeed race springs (2.25F/2.0R)
-17x7, +42
-205/40/17

Just wondering if I'll have rubbing issues or if I have to modify the fender liner or roll the fenders

mpr 03-16-2011 12:52 PM

shouldn't be a problem. tucks right in.

The person that sold the springs also included these for camber adjustment but they look like a pain in the ass (not for install but to work with when adjusting). Should I run them cause I have them or opt for an upper control arm with the adjustable ball joint?

Personally I like the skunk2 camber kits (balljoint type) but these are good to use for small range camber adjustments and its free. In your case with a 2" drop, you can get away with using these and it would be the alignment shop adjusting (would be similar in difficulties as the balljoint). If you don't drive high mileage, having some negative static camber helps cornering without much tire wear.

So I installed a set of Eibach Sportlines on just to see how I liked the drop (still have the Neuspeed Race's). Gotta say, it definately needs moar low, even though the mudflaps already scrape on speedbumps.

Opinions on these wheels? 17x7, 205/40/17

Or should I swap these on after I drop it more? 16x7, 195/45/16 front, 205/45/16 rear

imo, 17's are rather on the large side for a civic of that gen.
but the darker colour would go better than the light silver...

fliptuner 07-31-2011 02:36 PM

Yeah not a fan of the silver; white and gunmetal are kind of the norm now, I was almost thinking of going bright orange but it might be scream "fanboi attention whore"
