school me on automotive carpet dye
 

im gathering info on changing the colour of my headliner from gray to black. dont want to wrap it as my headliner is in perfect condition. its a fuzzy fabric material. i've used fabric and vinyl paint on another car before. turned out good but the fabric became hard and crunchy. looked good but not ideal. this time, i want to try a dye instead. school me on what products are available locally and what is the best way to do this. i've read a few diy articles and watched a bunch of youtube videos. need advice from someone who has actually done this.
