APC Alarm Service line 604.273.2221. Good ppl and has a good responsive monitoring system team. Good luck! Posted via RS Mobile |
I have alarm force and its great. Very easy for them to install and they have a quick response time. I have a voice box pluged into the wall where I can speak to them in need of a emergency which works greay. Posted via RS Mobile |
I know who I wouldn't recommened. ADT, they don't service their own equipment. They don't follow up when they say they will and they continue to bill you after you cancel by phone, email, letter and registered mail. |

Best security only because they have tech (that could attend if necessary) 24/7. http://www.bestsecuritysystems.ca/ |
i use CBA. it's has a dinky website but if you pay for a year you get 2 months free. works out to be like $25/month. so a few bucks less than ADT. It's local too. their office is just under the OAK bridge. It depends on if you have equipment already too. If you don't, then you can go with a bigger company who will give you the equipment but of course you need some sort of 3 yr contact for it. Sears also has an alarm service at econo prices. |
We use Active Alarms when we need to sub alarm stuff at work, they're pretty good if you're looking for a permanently-installed system. I can also second looking at AlarmForce - we had them for a few years when we were renting a townhouse, and it worked well for us. As with anything, you need to look at what they provide and whether it will fit your needs, but if you're renting, they do have some benefits. Installs are quick because they use wireless sensors and just velcro them in place, but that makes them removable to take with you if you move. They charge $25/mo, monitoring included, and don't change an installation fee or deposit for the basic setup ("brain" box, one motion sensor, one door sensor), but additional sensors are extra, and they make up for the free install by locking you into a four-year contract... however, if you do move, you can sign the contract over to the new owners, or as I say, pack up the system and take it with you. The one thing I found kind of neat is that there's no installed keypad; it just uses any phone that's plugged into the same line, including cordless. I know a lot of "pro" alarm guys poo-poo them, but they've got a system that works well, IME, and again, has some benefits of its own. |

1-800-267-2001 ALARRRM FORCE. that radio jingle shit works lol |
APX |
http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/12-shotgun.jpg leave that with the action closed unloaded... and since its non-res. you don't need a trigger lock. as soon as you hear somebody trying to come in your house, pump the action, and that noise will make them run the other way real quick... |
^ Actually every non restricted firearm requires a mechanical locking device, unless it's secured in a gun safe. If it's a bolt action you can remove the bolt and are required to store it seperate. Also, the firearm must be stored out of sight, such as under a bed or in a closet. |
Wrong, wrong, wrong. facepalm. |

be a samurai like me & have this sitting by your bed http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs9/i/200...a_by_skino.jpg walk bare foot & make sure you have some night vision goggle's so when your house is pitch dark it look's like this. http://i54.tinypic.com/nfmt15.jpg one's you get a view of the crack head trying to steal your movie's or anything take a good swing at his hand & don't even bother calling the cop's http://i52.tinypic.com/2nkmfqs.jpg  if he has a baseball bat in hand or any weapon,go for the wrist's. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2449/...5e380577_z.jpg Of course the picture's are Fake but that's what happens when someone breaks in your House or Car,I Had Fun with my katana that day,Poor fellow. Stare at his shocked face and Say :....your broke into my House,It Belongs to me Now,...Muhahaahh!...then maybe call the police. |
OP, PM me if you're still looking. $25/month is the going-rate for local monitoring. Anything less and you may potentially have inmates in a Texas prison answering your calls... I wouldn't touch those $9.99/month offers with a 10 foot pole. You get what you pay for. Quote:

Again Alarm Force targets a certain market but it's another big company mainly after just monitoring contracts. If you have a good product, word of mouth will help sell it. You wouldn't need to come up with a catchy jingle and advertise all over the place to get new customers. |
what system install only...no monitoring, who can get that done? |

If you're monitored in Canada, laws are in place where a Canadian operator has to dispatch the alarm. Why I know this? Because a company outsources us to dispatch priority alarms for them because legally they can't (they are located in the States). |
Thanks for all the responses . Ive decided to go with Alarmforce :) |
+1 for APX |
