he wrapped it himself, was his first time doing it so yea understandably there were a few very small bubbles that he plans on taking care of, he just finished it yesterday just in time for the meet.

where you guys buying your wraps? interested in wrapping but I probably would have a lot of trouble wrapping my GLK cuz of it being so damn tall and I'd have to switch my whole line of detailing products to vinyl ones QQ

i haven't calculated but i felt significant gain according to my butt dyno.

This topic has been beaten to death and then some on other forums so I will just give a quick recap:

- the wheels are forged and they are rated for way more than the weight of the car.

- the amount of metal left on the wheel is still more than other (even cast) wheels

- if you take a look at lots of different Ray's wheels, they machine them to suit offsets/width so even two different TE37's from factory will have diferent spoke thickness depending on width/offset - I looked at a few and took measurements.

- the offset is basically maxxed out for NSX - it's not the same as other cars - you cant go crazy on them - no way even 5mm would work in rear - or front without rubbing/damage - the liners are already rubbed from trying that.

- this is done on many race cars, this is not the first time people have done it

- these wheels will never see the track, they are for street

- personally I like the controversy - how many others would machine their Volks?

ya i was sporting a massive hangover otherwise i would have stayed later, car didnt seem to get too much attention till i raised it up to leave lol. Your car looked great alittle rough around the edges, but thats to be expected when you're running freakin 12.5"rears with only a few mm of fender gap

your car is fcking great, it's an NSX, no need to take it personal I have nothing against you nor the car, I just think it was a bad decision to cut your wheels, I can list many and more convincing reasons on why NOT to do chop your wheels, but it's a picture thread, let's enjoy each others cars here...
So let's agree to disagree, and that's fine because two car enthusiasts can do that maturely... now let me tell you something, the black NSX was revving it towards the end of the meet around 2pm and I told my buddy right away best sounding NSX's are boosted NSX's.... would have been sweet to hear your car revving instead
