Towing Boats

Hey fellas,

I recently picked up a new hobby while I was in Germany, power boating! I recently acquired a used 2007 Yamaha AR210 and I am looking forward in trying it out this summer. I'm looking for a good place to get trailer for it and also, what are the rules and regulation in transporting it. Also, whats a good body of water close by anyone can recommend

I will be using a 2009 Infinity QX56 to tow it.

Thanks

Burrard inlet has a ramp. At Vanier park.
$30 for all day trailer parking. close and convenient. however not the best waters to cruise around.

I go to Alouette lake. Cheap day parking and on weekdays LOTS of room. Weekends and holidays however it gets busy in the summer.
There is also fishing at the lake.

Harrison lake is also a nice place to go. It's huge and their launch ramps are nice.

Have you ever owned a boat before or gone boating?
First things first, do you have your Pleasure craft operators licence?

Pitt lake is the best for boating, can get choppy though

If you know where the dead heads are stave lake is a real good lake as well. I know people say its stave but not many people go there compaired to other lakes and there's great hidden spots

talk to the marina stores to get information on a trailer. There are local manufacturers, like Road Runner Manufacturing. http://www.roadrunnerltd.com/intro1.html

Thanks a lot for the feedback fellas. I got a trailer from Breakwater Marine and we went to Cultus Lake last weekend

Stave is real nice once you get out of the slough/mud flats.
