Thank you, come again! On behalf of all moderators, admins, CFO and volunteers, Revscene would like to thank the hundreds of people that showed up to our 2011 Spring meet! Lots of great cars, cool people and not too many douchebags made this event one of the best we have ever seen! There were well over 500 cars that took up all four main lots - thats a lot of walking! Japan Earthquake/Tsunami donations $578.66 The following is a list of all the people that donated anywhere from a handful of change all the way up to $50 to the Japanese Red Cross and all of their local affiliates. Most of this money will actually get to the affected communities as opposed to being filtered through administration and taking 10 years to eventually get there through our local affiliates. - Lancerion - Young Master Zack - k3elv - skolar - whitey - orgasm_donor - Alatar - Cornering Artist - Ryang - Executive Auto Society - Rico - BLACK - bigzz - Raid3n - TRDood - chooman - policeman997 - odg-zr2 - tee-tea - Strike007 - MEDIC - Peturbo - Captain Picard - saucywoman - icemiko - orgasm_donor's mom (seriously) Sorry if we have missed anybody! Foodbank donations 65 lbs We also had a great number of food donations at a time of year where the foodbank suffers the most. We would like to thank all of you that donated any non-perishables! You're awesome! And lastly, we would like to thank anybody that bought any stickers, lanyards or T-shirts. Any amount of support is appreciated for Revscene's servers! Also, any pink lanyard sold is helping out Breast Cancer research. Again, thanks again for all of those that contributed to the meet! |
I donated, but didn't write my name down :p Pink stickers too I thought, not just lanyards? THANK YOU to everyone who donated, the people of revscene that give back deserve a HUGE round of applause :D |
Additionally, Brian Jessel Autohaus raised over $900 with their "2 Japan, with Love - Japan Crisis" fundraiser. Either way, its still going toward the same good cause! :fullofwin: |
My name is not on there :( but I did get a red circle sticker though. GL Japan |
Haha they seem to missing quite a few people... I donated $5 USD since I only had a credit card on me :D |
thank you all the mods/volunteers that made this event happen... job well done! :) |

Traffic control is always fun (now my second year doing this). You get to see almost every car come by. Not every day you get to control the flow of millions of dollars worth of cars into a parking lot!:fullofwin: I'll be volunteering at summer meet for the second year in a row too. See you all then. |
Here's an update! TDcanadatrust Has been gracious enough to do a $30 wire transfer for us direct to the Japanese bank for FREE! Hustler604 is the branch manager and was able to pull some strings for us. Thanks fellow 350Z owner! Thanks to TOS'd for giving me that Japan Red Cross link! All the food was taken to The food bank today and they thanked us for our generous contributions. Quote:
All those that donated to the Japan Red Cross we have tried to add you all to our list. If you donated to the Canadian Red Cross then that was through Autohaus and was seperate from our drive. Still, props to all that collected and donated. Woot! |
hustler 604 and tos'd good job :D |
Thanks everyone for organizing the meet, AWAITING SUMMER MEET! |
I donated but my name is not there too. :( |

Although I did not donate via RS, I already did through the Japan Red Cross link. |
wait, what was the autohaus thing and how was it different from japan red cross donations? |
RS = Japanese Red Cross Autohaus = Canadian Red Cross Either way, both go towards a good cause. |
autohaus had a list of people who donated too. it would be great to see all those usernames posted! |
I didn't even know there was a difference, must have been why the girl at the RS tent seemed confused about everyone asking about the red stickers :) |

Glad we could help! If anyone wants to make a donation, TD Canada Trust is taking donations on behalf of the redcross. Come visit me at 2755 Lougheed Hwy (corner of Lougheed and Westwood in POCO) or stop by your local TDCT Branch. DONATE FOR A GREAT CAUSE |
Thanks buddy! Like TOS'd said, both the Canadian Red Cross and the Japanese Red Cross are great organizations and neither is better than the other. To say that one is better negates the whole charity idea alltogether. This is the link for the Japanese Red Cross bank account and donation information http://www.jrc.or.jp/english/relief/..._00002070.html Here is the link for online donations for Canadian Red Cross https://secure.e2rm.com/registrant/d...72%26tid%3d032 |
