Initial D extreme stage PS3
 
has anyone tried this game yet? i just ordered it and cant wait. just wondering about the online play. the game is region free. Japan version. do i need a japan PSN to play? and will my G27 work with the game?

correct me if i'm wrong, but i always thought ps3's were not locked by region, meaning you can run japanese games on your north american ps3.

a sudden flash of "no one sleeps in tokyo" just went through my head.

^^ they aren't region locked automatically

but the developer has the option to do so if they wish


as for 1newb i don't see why you would need a JPN PSN but you'll find out when the time comes :D

:D cant wait G27 came today. Game coming sometime this week. Playseat coming in 2 weeks :) hehehe

I don't know about this one, but when I tried the Initial D game in the arcade, it had the worst rubber banding of any racer I've played since Mario Kart.

You dont need JPN PSN to play, but you do need the JPN version to play online. (Which you have).

I initially ordered the "ASIA" version which didnt allow online play so I had to order another JPN version.

It works with my G25, so I dont see why it wouldnt work with the 27. :)
