i heard that you don't even need 3d glasses for it....i don't know about you all but I think that is really cool!

I'm thinking of picking up pilot wings. I still fucking hate the god damn controls for a game like street fighter

I was doing the promo work for it before it came out. I got to play most of the games but I don't think I'm going to get one until later. The games that are out right now don't really do it for me. I'm not even that big of a fan of the 3D, gives me a headache after a couple hours. The concept is really cool but if I need to move around that means I can't play on transit which is where I do most of my handheld gaming.

looking at all the comparison pics for legend of zelda makes this a worthwhile investment for me

Does anyone know where some demo units are in Richmond? I wanna see what all the hype is about.

A few weeks ago there was a demo unit at silvercity riverport. Not sure if it is still there though.

I believe that was mobile. they move through cities to let people try it out.
I would think every retail store should have a demo. EB games, FS/BB? I was down in Premium outlet and there's a demo unit in Walmart 1 day before the official release. :fullofwin:

All bb and fs have a demo unit setup. Dunno if it's mutilated by the kids yet

My kids birthday is next month, I think I might get him one of these. He loves his DS don't see why he wouldn't love this even more.

my son loved his. he has both DSi and XL and now this.

Just keep in mind if your kid is young (under 7), the 3D can fuck up their vision

IMO never was a good idea playing handheld devices longer than 1 hour
i guess tone down the 3d slider.

its pretty damn good
but yea, after a while it does start to hurt your head a little

Will there be a price drop for the dsi xl any time soon? I don't really care for the 3d...I'm going to australia in a few weeks, and wouldn't mind picking up a dsi just to kill the time on the plane :p

i played around with the demo yesterday with pilotwings, having the 3d slider all the way up, it really is disorienting and gave me a headache after a few minutes, i can settle with the slider half way through or less.

so is the analog nub compatible with ds games? specifically mario 64?

Don't expect a price drop in the first year of release. You might see some stores offering their own discount as a 'door crasher' or a rebate, but Nintendo won't be dropping the price of this for a long, long time.
