ive read up on black to black by mothers and apparently doesnt seem to last long enough. there another product(s) that do a better job that's not insanely expensive?

fade 2 black is awesome
otherwise
Autoglym Vinyl Rubber Care will work
Chemical Guys VRP will work too
Blackwow will work by slowly dying it back to black chemically
303 Aerospace Protectant works, but it fades quite quickly on tires (but its fine on trim)
fade 2 black is aerosal, by my experience it doesnt last as long as gel types.

this right here is magic on all viny/leather interior pieces.
on plastics you can use a regular gum eraser.
dampen with a bit of cleaner, wipe off excess. done.
slap on a bit of protectant if you'd like to keep the trim nice and rich

Peanut butter works, as mentioned before.
A heat gun also does wonders.

Here's what I did for my Passat a few years ago. Any leather dye should work. Gotta redo the dye after a year or so. http://dubberz.com/forum/index.php/t...html#msg252053 |

Use proper leather care stuff.

peanut butter = cheapest alternative that you don't even have to go out to buy, since you probably have some in your kitchen right now
i use my clean magic eraser followed by peanut butter. it doesn't restore the deep black look (you'll need something like back 2 black for that) but it does get rid of wax residue

We have some Carpro PERL coming which is supposed to last up to three months on tires and trim. As well, I will be testing a dye for exterior trim. I'll keep you guys updated.
