FS: Core i7-960 Gaming Rig Price 900$ OBO Quote:
Case: CM 690 II Basic (comes with a front fan and rear fan[hooked on to h50] PSU: Corsair CMPSU - 650TX CPU: Core i7-960 3.2GHz (quad core, 8mb) (easily overclockable to 4.0ghz) [Comes with unused stock cpu fan that is pretty big and read good things about it] Mobo: ASUS Sabertooth x58 LGA 1366 USB3 + SATA 6GB/S HDD: WD Caviar Black 500GB SATA 6GB/s 32MB cache 7200RPM Vid Card: Asus Engtx 460 1GB (easily overclockable + stable) Cooler: Corsair H50 Sealed water cooler come Ram: Corsair XMS3 2gbx2gbx2gb triple channel DDR3 - 1333MHz Kit Optical drive: Lg supermulti dvdrw 24x sata blk Fans: Coolermaster 120mm blue led It can pretty much run any game at high settings and in the future, you can upgrade to dual sli setup (mobo is sli ready, comes with sli cable). COD:MW, sc2, wow, aion, l4d2, cs, suddenattack, etc all can be run in high/ultra settings. Everything has 1year or more manufac warranty and the x58 sabertooth motherboard has a 5 year manufac warranty. If you want, i can give the boxes for everything. Some info: Noise: Currently its running 4 fans + the h50 water cooler so at FULL RPM its not at all silent. However using asus fan xpert utility, u can change to a silent profile that significantly decreses noise. Also 4fans is kinda overkill right now (especially since i am not running it overclocked) and a 30$ investment into a fan controller can make the machine silent to ur command (turning off the fan when not pushing the computer) (the asus xpert program doesnt allow to completely turn off fan) Temperature: At stock clock speed: Averages at 34C at idle and reaches a high of 59C~ at 100% load. (core temp + prime 95 was used for testing). Right now i have only 1 fan attached to the h50 radiator, but if you have a push pull configuration (one more fan), ive heard that it lowers temps by 5C ish. (it comes with the fan required for this setup but dont have screws so i didnt bother as it is already stable enough). I've overclocked it to 4.0ghz and used it for couple days and was stable, temps were near 70C at full load and never crashed during testing. i returned to stock because i realized i dont even use 3.2ghz to its fullest potential. Overclocking: as mentioned cpu can easily be 4.0ghz with the right settings, and video card is even easier to overclock. http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/9428/backkn.jpg http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/5048/frontshv.jpg http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/7702/insidez.png http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/9721/leftsidecm.jpg http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/803/rightsidev.jpg http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/4987/topki.jpg better res pics http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/3534/backkt.jpg http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/9249/frontgl.jpg http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/915...6151824967.jpg http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/3533/insides.png http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/1047/leftside.jpg http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/3783/rightsidebg.jpg http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/3302/topgy.jpg Will do a clean install of w7 - Ultimate 64bit + MS office 2010 [cannot gurantee genuine; w7 is updateable and will not ask for authentication ;) ) Will upload pics later. |
