xperia x10 not charging??? Ok first of all, I got this POS about 2 months ago and it has done nothing but cause me much misery. The thing lags more than a retarded kid in advance calculus, keeps freezing up at the most inopportune times and is just overall a pain in the ass to use. Plus it seems if you have anything , but the most delicate hand-model-esque fingers, the touch screen is useless. Looking back, I should have gotten an Iphone4, but it's too late for that now and I reap what I sow. NOW, the final episode in this series of mental anguish, this phone is refusing to straight up charge. I plug in the charger, connect the charger to my wall socket, and nothing. I disconnect, reconnect, nothing. Try 50 different sockets, nothing. I take out battery, place it back in, try again, nothing. So now it's out of juice and I have no working phone. So I'll probably have to send it into Sony, BUT, this might take weeks. My question is: is there a shop that sells OEM batteries for this POS?? I have a feeling the battery pack is done so maybe if I replace the battery, it'll charge again. I don't want to be phone-less any longer and I don't know what kind of excuses Sony will pull on their end. I bought this phone at Bestbuy incase anyone's wondering, and I am under Rogers. |
Call Rogers for warranty. They'll send you a replacement one and that shit will be on your door in 2days. Best part of all, you send your phone in after you get the replacement (you have 15days to do it) Posted via RS Mobile |
Might be a little obvious but people don't try this. Some phones take a while to start charging if the battery is completely dead. Leave it plugged in for half an hour and see what happens. OR make sure you have an OEM charger, sometimes 3rd party ones don't work properly. |

Change the battery? Maybe it died out on you. Posted via RS Mobile |
Just curious, did you update to OS 2.1 recently? A coworker's phone had recently run into the same problem as you. She sent the phone in via Rogers, and they totally screwed up her warranty process. Long story short, they wanted to charge HER for repairs. This is with a phone that was never dropped, never water damaged at all! |
BTW, phone repair centres have super fast turn-around times. Reason for this being that the more phones they can repair, the more they earn (volume). |
Did you update to 2.3 ? |
