D300 problem with CL & CH mode

So anyways i tried shooting sports. I have it at manual all the time and instead of Single frames put it to CH on left dial. I reseted all the settings and checked everything. Its shooting like 3fps instead of 7. I have a battery grip attached to it as well. Any ideas why it does that? Thanks in advance.

You can set this in CFN d4 to be anything from 1 to 7 FPS. 3 FPS is default

its already set to 7fps. still doesnt work. :(

doesn't it also depend on your shutter speed settings(minimum 1/250) and also depending ISO settings? did you study your manual?

Try setting the quality to a tiny low quality jpeg only.

Still problem?

yah. it works now. i set it to basic jpeg. it was previously set to just raw. is it because its to big of a memory? do i need faster memory card of some sort? what i have now is SanDisk Extreme III. 30mb/s

Read manual about buffer size

It clearly states in NVM's screenshot. Maximum when shooting raw is 2.5fps. Like others say. Please read.
