Spotted: Alfa Romeo 156
 

Went to the auto show the other day and saw an Alfa 156 in the parking lot. No idea where it came from as iirc the 156 was never sold in North America. I'm guessing it's a Mexican import? Anyone know more about this exact car?

The tailights bugged me too. But at least the owner bought the right brand of car lol. I can only hope it's a project de-rice hahaha

i bet the guy got it from the US (just like the evo8s & 9s) & yes i know there not sold in the usa as well so i bet from somewhere else originally

if not then the best bet is he shipped everything by parts & just assembled it here as some ppl do that

Theres a 156 out in Abbotsford as well, I see it weekly.

A question though. I thought Alfa pulled out of North America in 1995? How is this post-95 car legally in Canada? Of course, there's the 15 year importation law, but this car isn't even 15 years old yet.

If you immigrate to Canada you are allowed to bring in any make and model of car or motorcycle that you owned before you entered canada, it had to be yours before.

Lucky Immigrants can do it once.

Yes, the car is still for sale. Plus, Alfa Romeo will come back with Fiat in 2011.
