| I hear ya... but im not necessarily talking about on the spot VIs ( which is fair game). what im saying is that if we have a mandatory vehicle inspection like parts of Europe. Would these mandatory inspections respect after market modifications that are safely installed, like my coilover example.
Now ofcourse if i decided to tack on "rice" after the inspection, VIs are acceptable. What this does I guess to some degree is discourage unsafe "ricing" of vehicles as it just becomes a hassle passing the 'annual mandatory inspection'. Obviously there will be the hardcore dont give a shit ricers out there.
My point about all this is, if madatory inspections are implemented, then lawmakers should embrace change and accept that personalizing a vehicle is a norm these days, from basic wheel change to more advance modifications.
as long as they are installed properly and dont compromise safety.
by that I mean, you can have sweet rims, but just dont run 195s on 10 inches and -5 camber lol..:D |
