Aftermarket backup sensor system delay start I wired up a backup/parking sensor system in my sister's car. The system works great and is very helpful while backing up. The issue is when you shift from P to D (car is an auto), the speaker in the system beeps as if it's about to turn on. Although it only beeps for a split second, it's loud and annoying to hear it every time you shift the car into Drive from Park. Is there some sort of simple delay circuit/relay I can add, which will delay the system for .5 or 1 second before turning on? This way the kit will turn on only when I need it. Thanks for any help you can provide |
You can wire in a universal timer relay to delay the 'on' from the reverse wire. Pretty much all our sponsors sell them. |
