Marketing some cars can be pretty hard in another country http://www.oddee.com/item_93544.aspx I guess alot manufacturers went to numbers and letters cause of this |
I'm hoping that these cars were renamed before being sold in the countries where the names is so.... questionable. Except for the last 3 i guess. Then again, i suppose that it's hard to ensure that the name of your car doesn't envoke a double entendre in all dialects in the region. |
Surprised the STi isn't on there... |
That list is stupid. Honda Fit is actually called Jazz in Europe. |
FORD Probe - sounds like the seats are going to be very uncomfortable. I was personally waiting for the Chevy Enema to come out. :p |

That doesn't always work either... lol.. Toyota MR2. When said in French, it sounds like merdeux = shitty.. |

Honda never sold that model as a Fit in Sweden so it was never a marketing fail, therefore number 7 doesn't belong on the list. But yea, this is the reason manufacturers moved towards numbers and letters. That and to sound classier and to put more emphasis on the brand itself. |

Well then I guess it's a good thing Toyota renamed their, "GayerThanABagOfDicks" to the "Prius". |
