Clearcoat for Plastics

I'm looking to spray my tail lights with a coat of clear. I was wondering if anywhere sells clearcoat in a can for plastics?

Thanks.

just put a layer of sealant ontop imo

bring it to a shop and use real clear. Can clear will look like shit on tailights.

why would you need clearcoat on your tailights?...I would just polish them and put a layer of sealant. Cheaper and probably look better.

That was one of my other options, which I'm leaning to now.

I'm restoring my 15+ yo tail lights, and wanted throw some extra protection. It seems like a lot of people have gotten really good results with spraying a layer of clear on it.

Are you guys saying after the resto, if I apply sealant regularly I should be good?

yep hachisix
sealant will give it enough protection from yellowing and will look better than a clearcoat job cuz clearcoats may make it extra glossy lol

Im new to this forum but I'm not new to clearing head lights and tail lights, spray can will be shiny but not as deep and minty as having a bodyshop do em. I personally know a painter will do em for $100 a set and he lays 3 layers of clear on soooo thick they always turn out looking brand new

- but if you want to be cost effective and you dont really care about what your car turns out like get a can of 1k Acrylic Clear in spray bomb (proform is what I use) from Lordco/Napa (not canadian tire) grey scotch brite pad the lights and hit em up with 2 wet coats
