Booking last minute, late night flights
 

I know this is the wrong section, but at the moment... I don't care.

I've got a major family emergency and need to fly from either Vancouver, Bellingham or Seattle to New York (La Guardia or JFK only.... Newark is a shithole and is too far out of the way anyway) ASAP. I was hoping someone might know of an airline that does late night trips... say, around Midnight or 1am.

So far all I've seen is Air Canada at 11:35pm to LGR at Noon. Cathay Pacific is a no-go and British Airway all have a layover in Heathrow between Vancouver and La Guardia... lol.

Anyway, ANY help would be greatly appreciated at this moment.

How fast do you need to get there?

You can take the midnight flight from Vancouver to Montreal and then hoop on the Amtrak train to New York and that will drop you off at downtown New York.

Or you can take the midnight flight to Toronto and try go on stand by with Porter Airlines. I think their earliest flight heading to New York is 6 AM.


Or you can fly into either Montreal or Toronto and take the Bus.

Montreal to New York by greyhound is about 5 hours.

Toronto to New York by Greyhound is about 8 Hours.

But if your really in a rush I would just fly into Montreal and rent a car and drive down to New York.

Thanks for your help everyone, especially you, StylinRed. Unfortunately the 10:30pm departure time is too early as we wouldn't be able to make it to the airport by that time. Might be taking the 11:35pm flight with Air Canada or bite the bullet and wait until tomorrow morning and catch the first flight outta dodge.
