Paint thinner on my cf hood
 
Long story short, i got paint thinner on my cf hood. Anyway to recover this? or my best bet is to respray with clear coat?

yeah just polish it, should be fine as long as it didnt sit there for a very long time with a lot of thinner
spraying clear will not do anything unless u take all that off and redo the whole thing.

sorry to thread jack here but how do you recover a carbon fiber piece if the clear coat has been damaged?

I have a CF hood that has a bubble on the top surface. It hasn't affected the carbon fiber weave underneath the hood and their isn't any visible damage underneath the hood. My assumption is that the clear coat has become damaged due to heat.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

prob will have to get it re-clearcoated and possibly find a clear coat thats more resistant to heat and also look for those heat lining to put underneath

Any suggestions on where to go to sand the hood down and re-coat it with clear? Is it something that I can do pretty easily by myself?
