Does anyone know of any local lower mainland mansions?

To accommodate 200 guests (preferrably indoor reception).

Please please let me know.

We would like to hire our own caterers, bartenders, etc. and golf courses don't seem to allow this. If anyone has any alternate solutions, please feel free to provide any recommendations.

200 is quite a lot of people to jam into a house, even if it is a mansion. Cecil Green's capacity is 200, but that's for stand-up receptions. A sit-down reception limits the number of guests to 140.

Brock House is always nice, but expensive. It looks like they can handle almost 300 people if you combine the outdoor tent (180) with the conservatory (114). I also think you need to use their caterers. The food should be excellent, though. I'm going in for a tasting later this month, and I can post the results.

EDIT: One more thing: If, at all possible: Elope! Weddings are fun, but planning, preparation, and ponying-up the cash for just one day doesn't seem worth it to me. I loathe the whole planning process. I'd rather take that money and go on a few awesome honeymoon vacations.

The hardest part will be the liquor your want to serve.
I believe you need a temp. liquor licence unless it is your private place.

Alot of communicity center can host 200ppl.
