When you're stuck at a red b/c the sensors won't work.

coolest. state. ever.

Happened to me once, luckily some guy noticed and drove beside me to trigger the light :)

Got stuck at Powell and Clark a year ago. Light would not change for the life of me so I crossed the red when the coast was clear. I sat there for probably 5 minutes. :(

Mind you, this was at 1:30am. :lol

Yeah for me I always hypothetically do it on 57th at the light on Oak. Damn thing stays red for 5 mins if you actually decide to wait past 1am on weekdays.

editted a "hypothetically" into my sentence, just cuz. ;)

imagine youre at a no right turn on red intersection and you run the red and get a cop on a bad day. royally fucked

got caught doing that years ago late at night and the cop was nice when I told him that the light wouldn't trigger. Let me off with a verbal warning.

I've actually dismounted, put the bike on it's center stand, walked over to the pedestrian signal switch and pushed the button to make the light change, pretty sure I'm still breaking the law so it's refreshing to hear that someone in authority recognizes the problem.

Hmm, I thought there's a similar law here... not for motorcycles, but for vehicles in general. No?

bcrdukes 04-17-2011 08:46 PM

I think there is. Something similar to a 4-way stop type of rule.
