Engine starts without air filter Yesterday while I was changing my engine's air filter, my friend starts the engine and it idles without engine's air filter for less than a minute. After he turned off the engine, I noticed that some debris around the engine air filter box has gone (sucked into the engine I guess). Should I be worry with this? |
depends on what the debris was.... |
small tree debris, sort of 2 or 3 rice grains size. Quote:

i wouldnt worry. just drive the car. |
burned into little carbon crisps already in the combustion chamber, and then down the exhaust. not worried about it unless engine starts to run stupid. |
nature tree leaves can't survive inside the cumbustion chamber. All should be fine, but don't do it again~ |
you're fucked. time to start saving for a new motor. |
go whap-app your friend across his head with your dick for being a dumbass |
Not bad, if you wanted to a port and polish in the meanwhile, just dump a bag of sand into your intake :troll: |

and OP, i think you imagined it, at idle the engine doesn't suck air that violently. |
