Anyone know how to fix a Tablet PC?

Searched online, but couldn't find any answer/solution.

I have a HP TC1100 Tablet PC that wouldn't power up. It still has good battery life left. With it plugged in the outlet, the "plug icon" blinks (with or without battery pack). When not plugged in outlet, it would not power up.

If you have any tips or ideas, please let me know.

So unit gets power but does not turn on.. If the screen shows nothing even thought power is being distributed then its probably a motherboard issue.

Is it still under warranty?

Call HP.

I've had shockingly fast and good service from them in the past with warranty issues.

It's not under warranty. It was bought used a few years ago. Could be the motherboard. Don't know if I should have it replaced or buy a new one (which costs around $1000). Not sure how much it costs to replace.

Likely, it's not worth fixing. If it's the motherboard, there won't be any off-the-shelf parts. It'll be a propitiatory piece from the manufacturer.

Yeah it wont be worth replacing.. My experience with notebook motherboards they range between 100-400 and I have no clue what a tablet mobo would cost(probably more).. Plus the labor to install ~$100.00. So all in all its never worth replacing a notebook mobo unless under warranty or parts are widely available cheap..

try www.cpainc.ca or www.notebooksolutions.ca for parts but I doubt it.
