Spray bomb exploded IN THE TRUCK - how to get the smell out? Yeah, so I was helping a friend move with their van a while back, and somehow a large spray can of paint popped open and made a mess. A painter gave him some paint thinner, he managed to get most of the paint off. Just some odour remains. Someone said try Coffee Beans, apparently, but does anyone have any better ideas? |
Try some CQuartz Clean Air/So2Pure. Might be able to do something... photocatalyst that kills smell bacterias, etc. |
you can call ICBC and claim it - you'd pay your Comprehensive deductible.. but they'd cover everything! As for the smell, you probably need to send it to a detail shop and have it Ozonated. (They use a special machine that makes Ozone - it actually works amazingly well) |
Could also try the Wurth Vent cleaner from Overseas auto, basically an aerosol bomb that sprays continuously for 10 minutes or so and neutralizes odor. |
I've used vinegar and baking soda alternating to get rid of some nasty smells. Not sure about chemical smells though. |

it will get any smell out. i have my own personal machine and it works wonders |
Patene pro-v on carpets! |
Buy a WACK LOAD of active carbon. I think the stuff tell sell in aquarium supply stores are the same thing. Put it in a giant bag and throw it in your car for a few weeks. Active carbon absorbs odor. |
also cleanair/so2pure creates ozone when it meets sunlight so if you get some and spray it inside your truck then leave it in the sun, it should work. |
like subwoffers said. get some carbon, aquarium stores have them. in bulk. If you want nicely contained ones I suggest you go check out Daiso |
This may be dumb, but how about febreeze haha. I stopped over a dead skunk at a red light, couldn't move O.O, smelled like shit the whole day, but 2 days of febreeze and the smell neutralized Posted via RS Mobile |

simply put them out under the sun every month or so (maybe more often in your case), and they become active again, but make sure you dun hang around when you do that, since you dun want to breath in whatever chemical/smell releasing back from the carbon ... |
U could light up a shitload of matches way more cost effective. If that doesn't work bring it to a shop to get ozonated. Posted via RS Mobile |

been painting for 10 years, just open your trunk and windows for a few hours on a nice day. |
^ I'm sure most people would've tried that first before asking other people. |
my buddy puked in my car over the seats, door panels, door jams... i got the car detailed. the car looked new again, but the smell was still there. i called the detailer agn and he used a ozone generator to get rid of the smell. it took a few hours. |
Theres a lot of products out there that you can use. Anywhere from febreeze to the professional stuff. Give me a pm and if you are around my area i'll see if some of this new stuff i picked up works. Worked great for the smell of smoke in my car, I still smoke in it and this stuff is STILL working. |
pull your carpets and have them cleaned and clean under the carpets. |

I'm going to tell him to try the Active carbon first - is it also called charcoal? Because two aquarium stores I called only know it as Charcoal. Any ozonator offers? |
