Trophies or Certificates & cash?
 

For our Car Stereo Show on June 12th, I want to know what the "people" want, so that we can better facilitate your satisfaction.

I want to do whatever is best for the competitors.

Some folks have discussed their favouritism towards cash as compared to "another trophy".

But what about the new people? Would they be ok winning a certificate that states their score, no matter how they've done?

I want to put some major fun back into shows. That will cost some good money. Here's my dilemma: spend $2000.00 on trophies and a few fun things; or, spend the same amount on cash giveaways, lots of fun stuff, free food & entertainment?

Personally, I'd like a big party that showcases competitors hard work. But it's really up to you.

The trophies I've won in the past have collected dust in a corner. One is over five feet tall and is in pieces, because it won't fit anywhere unless it's on the floor. Wife doesn't want it anywhere in the house, LOL. Cash won't collect dust or get in the way. They're good for a business showing off their wins, but for average Joe - cash and fun. Just my 2 bits.

Gift Certificates to the shop. Can't really go wrong with that!

Like me, I think you've been on RS too long. It has that kind of effect on decent people.

I remember when Speaker city did bash for cash years ago. That was a ton of fun and everybody got something to take home. I have enough trophies...too many really.
