Twice I've had someone park IN MY DRIVEWAY. There were plenty of spots on the street, but for some reason they parked right behind my car..

woop ti doo, i used to sometimes have to park like 2 blocks down from where i live. Deal with it, stop bitching.

Just carry a broom and a bucket of tacks/nails throw it down to mark your spot come back broom it up. If thats too much work for you than walk 3 fucking car lengths u fat bastard.

The owner of that car would shit bricks if he did that to me. I'd jack the car up in the air, so when he comes back I'd ask him for a "storage fee":fullofwin:

You can leave whatever you want in front of your house, you just can't complain when someone makes off with your "free" buckets or whatever else you use.

Well, I didn't wanna do anything too malicious, since they knew where I lived an all. I just took off their front plates and left a note so I could ask them what they were thinking. It was at night, so I didn't need to use my car anyways.

It ended up being a mainlander who was renting the house next door, I couldn't understand what they were saying except 'sorry, sorry'.

technically no. If there is a complaint, the city will come by and confiscate the buckets and throw them away.
This is very evident during the PNE and Playland time.

As mentioned already on page 1 the answer is no which should be the obvious answer.

http://vancouver.ca/engsvcs/parking/admin/faq.htm

"Can I reserve space on the street by putting buckets or cones etc. on the street?

No. City Streets are for public use and cannot be reserved by placing objects on the street. Items that are placed on City property may be removed by City of Vancouver staff."
