Who does a good job refurbishing a Bosch Alternator?

I think my voltage regulator is shot. Rumour has it that it might be easy to replace "just" the regulator. But I'm thinking that other things may need replacing as well on it. Maybe bearings? Maybe brushes?

What's the cost of refurbishing an alternator anyways?

I bought a reman'ed one from Edmonds Starters & Alternators for less than half the price I paid for a new Bosch unit from Lordco (with returned core) which crapped out twice in 8 months. I think I paid about $130 taxes in after a $50 discount on core return. Reman'ed unit had better voltage readings and worked flawlessly upto when I scrapped the car.
