Smart key q hey all. i have a question about the smart key. does any one know if this smart key system can be integrated to a civic for example. i work for mazda and a lot of cars have these systems where you have the remote in your pocket and just have to push button on the door or use push start etc. would i be able to use the mazda system in my civic? or is there a company that makes universal ones or something? im really curious about this system and would one day like to add to my civic just for kicks:) let me know if theres anything out there.thanks. |
Yes universal ones are made. I believe by Autoloc |
^ How are the products by The Hoffman Group? They have by far, the worst websites. Tried ordering one of their plug'n'play factory integrated keyless entry systems. Their website didn't work. :lol |

I haven't tried this before but it seems to me that is doable to a compustar FM system, a start button and a TR-7 module for proper ACC and ignition function...?? |
installerz: do you happen to know if you can incorporate/store a key in the transponder like so ? Catalin: would it act like the advanced key systems i.e. the doors lock/unlock from sensor or is it like everyday compustar where remote disengages locks and immob. but instead of key u use push start? (hope im making sense.lol) |
compustar fm paging systems have a proximity arm/disarm feature that works the same way. Range might be a little different , possibly more then you'd want but seeing a sponsor and seeing a demo in person might be the best thing. |
