Removing paint particles...
 

Long story short, some idiots in the yard where I work decided to open air spray. Some of this spray must have landed on my CRX, so now i have very small dots of white all over the drivers side. I recently waxed so when i worked at some of the larger spots with my thumb nail it came off, thing is I dont wanna spend all day with a plastic scrapper doing it the hard way. What can i use to safely remove this shit from my cherry paint? I dont mind rewaxing, i just dont wanna mess up the clear coat...

Any suggestions?

Try these. Local paint supply stores should carry these. I've used them on customer's vehicles. They work fairly well but may not work on every spot.

Go to Rona/HD/Canadain tire and get Goof-Off or and equivalent. I've sprayed a car before while painting a house and this works and doesn't strip the original paint. Its not water soluable, so just use a dry rag with it. Try and buy about a liter.

I know of people who use acetone, but I don't.

Don't use harsh solvents like acetone. Do you have access to and know how to use a polisher? Thats what I would use with a fine compound.

I've heard of that goof offM my buddy used it incorrectly trying to remove sap off his paint totally turned the paint all cloudy white. Thing is like I was saying its not to hard to pick it off, i dont know if I need to pull out the big guns and use acetone.

Phil are you refering to a rotary buffer? Havent used one myself no, always done all my detailing buy hand.

NuFinish offers a product that claims to remove slight scratches and road grime, pitch etc... might give it ago, anyone ever use it before?

or get the megs claybar kit from Lordco in the box. Ive found polishing to glide over well stuck on overspray, a good bar lifts the contaminant off, as long as you keep turning the bar over and you dont drop it. then wax again
