Key scratch on door

Hey I am looking for a place to get my car detailed to remove a key mark someone did to my car. Was wondering if anyone knew any places that they had good experience with. I've tried buffering it out myself using my gf sister bf's buffering kit but it didn't even remove a bit of the scratch mark. The weird thing is, for the scratch mark I can't even feel it. If I were to close my eyes and rub my car door, I wouldn't be able to tell where it is. Thanks.

distinctive detailing in north vancouver may be able to help you out. i've heard good things.

otherwise... a body shop should be able to remove it.

it may take wetsanding and polishing to finally take it out.

usually if you can feel it with your nail, it wont come out, but you said you cant feel it so i find it odd...

best of luck.

Yeah, I've tried using my nail to feel it out but I couldn't. That's why I thought I might have been able to buffer it out =P. That didn't work that's for sure. Thanks for the luck haha hopefully it isn't so bad =P.

I live closer to Richmond so I will definitely give them a call. Have you gone there for experience? Is it good service with a fair price for everything?

Yes, prices are typical.. but my black car had tons of swirls and scratches!!

I'm sure they can give you a decent price for a spot problem area- talk to Henry

Not sure how soon you need it done but I may be in Richmond in the next couple of weeks.

if you cant feel it, get a bodyshop or detail shop to wet sand it and polish it out, pay em an hour and your set, dont let them sell you on paint work unless its too deep, FIXAUTO is the cheepest for that

when your choosing a place to polish your car especially if its a dark color try and see how they do it. There are a lot of polishers that try and shortcut and only use the corner or the pad to polish. The polishers should be flat to prevent whips. And when its done check everything especially if you have a lot of plastic/vinyl peices on the outside that are beside critical areas that would be not be done by hand as you may have burns in the plastic.
