for those who's done it, did you have to go to other eye doctors for check ups?

Gunsmokez 05-19-2011 01:13 AM

I'm at a toss between Coal Harb, or London Eye . Which of these 2 should I choose? I really don't know anyone that has done this. So referral is kinda out of the question for me.

Coal Harb price is very nice, But the list of surgeons at London Eye is pretty impressive.
How much does London eye charge? anyone know since they don't advertise on the website.

imp>dom 05-19-2011 01:55 AM

$1600/eye or something like that

I made an appointment for Coal Harbor when this thread started for a consultation and the earliest appointment I got was June 14th so surgery might be 2 months or more after that. And the surgery has to be done by Sept 30th to qualify for the discount. This is probably due to the 50% off promotion that just ended and this current promotion that's still active. I don't know anyone in real life that got theirs done there but the price is awesome and I figure I'll give it a try. Everyone I know in real life got theirs done at London Eye Center so I decided to give them a call as well on Monday and I got a consultation right away and surgery can be done as early as May 24th. I booked my surgery for May 30th. It cost $2500 but it's closer to me so doing check up would be more convenient and there's plenty of parking available. For referrals, you can put down a name mentioned in one of the eye surgery thread on revscene. Just do a search.

I thought your surgery was July 8th because Klobbersaurus got a consultation appointment for May 20th. I assume he called after you.

So, has anyone here gotten surgery at Coal Harbour? I asked at my work place and no one has even heard of them before. But, with London 4 people said they knew about that place and had friends that went there.
