You can get a brand name gtx 460 for around the same price

Gtx 470 for about $190 taxs in, or GTX 560 Ti for about 220$

For 30$ difference , would i feel or see any difference?,

Is it wise to save 30bux and buy the old gtx 470 even though its older tech and slower

Get GTX 560 if you have the cash lol. Or how about AIT 6950?

gars 05-17-2011 02:30 PM

you can get a 460 for much cheaper, and overclocked, it performs almost as well as the 470 - and I would trust an overclocked name brand 460 over a cheapo 470.

The 470 was never a great price point - I think for gamers - the 460 was considered the best bang for the buck.

get 560 cards a fuckin beast just look at some benchmarks /reviews

joquio 05-17-2011 02:59 PM

Yup 560 Ti FTW!!!
If you are going to get the 506 ti, spend a few more bucks and get the MSI Twin Frozr.
They are beastly. I can overclock mine to 950Mhz without voltage mod and still run very cool. around 55C at load.
I'm sure upping the voltage I can break 1000mhz no problem. I'll do that when I need more power!

Anyway, if you want the MSI 560 ti DirectCanada still has the lowest price currently. So pm at Memory Express to get even lower price :fullofwin:

Got the GTX 460 by Asus for my new build a couple weeks ago and it is bang for the buck. Got it for about $200, excluding the $30 rebate which I have not yet sent out.

Overclocked, it performs extremely well with stable temperatures. Hell, you can't even hear it when overclocked.

Here's the review.

And the OC'ing

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/gra...orce-gtx-460/3

Extremely easy to overclock as well.

I got the MIS GTX 460 Cyclone and is pretty good. Run most new games on high settings with 50 to 60fps. However when playing on ultra setting for example cyrsis2 it lags a bit down to 20 to 30fps. I say get the GTX 560.

Not sure if this is still true but if don't plan on using corssfire some people say getting ATI 6950 is a really choice. However if you go with corssfire GTX is really good.

neggo 05-18-2011 11:09 AM

^ OC'ing your 460 will increase that 20-30 FPS rate.

I end up getting 30+-40 with Crysis on 1920x1080 on the highest settings! Very stable too!
