Witcher 2

Anyone ever play Witcher 1 or 2 before?

Looks pretty good, but seems like not a very hyped game

Thinking of downloading on steam.

Witcher 2 is about 30 to 40 hours from what I've read, but 16 possible endings and choices that could make you skip large amounts of content, so you might play it again.

Initial impressions is that the game is very very pretty and very confusing since the tutorial is brief and windows disappear in like 5 seconds

Spoiler!

Yes but funny how no one even talks about this game. If it was so good no one on RS ever mentioned it.

Made me wonder. lol

Well maybe download 1 and 2 of steam. Looks interesting.

Do you need to play the first to play the second?

Hard to say, I briefly played the first but the second does provide some context to whats going on.

I just wiki'ed the first game to get caught up.

So far the game is AMAZING. WAAYYYY better than Dragon age 2.

holding off on playing this til i complete witcher 1, only 4 hours into a 40 hour game....but i heard this is definitely a contender for game of the year.

not much talk about it because CDProjekt Red is a small company, in comparison to EA/Bioware...they can't afford as much advertising as Dragonage 2 could.

Also because this is a PC exclusive game.

Hard to crack the headlines as a small company when you're game is only made for PC in a console dominated market.
