I think you can turn it off through the i-drive system if the country code is USA .. so maybe next time you're in the states, get a dealership to change the country code to USA, which should unlock the menu in the i-drive system for DRL options/settings.

Read the owners manual, should say something about DRL in there. (I'm assuming its similar to the E90's btw lol)

EDIT: I suck at reading

^^ That's for disabling DRL's .. read your post again. .. you want blue DRL's or blue angel eyes?

To make angel eye's blue (i did this on my sister in law's e90) you need to buy an aftermarket angel eye bulb (I think an H8 bulb fits the 2011 X5). Depending on the model, it's either a LED or a HID style bulb that illuminates the angel eye. They're around $200 as far as I can remember. Installing em is pretty easy there's a panel in the wheelwell that you need to open up, and the socket for the bulb is right there.

The H8 kit should work if its the same for all new BMW's. Best thing to do is probably drop by brian jessel autohaus and see what they recommend. I forgot where I bought mine from, but I've ordered stuff from bimmian.com in the pas and they're pretty decent (and canadian based so you don't get raped on tax)

Should be in there, but definitely double check w/ brian jessel autohaus first because that's a pretty new truck
