911fanatic vs BMW cabbie

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. Been a little busy. Anyhow, I'm way behind on write ups so the next few will be abbreviated.

I've been after this client for over a year to get this done but financial constraints meant we've had to postpone it. We agreed ( I told him ) it would need at least a two stage polish as it was in very poor condition and I knew the owner well. Could have used a three stage.

Washed with RG Washmitt and Exclusive Soap
Wheels, tires, inner fenders cleaned with Exclusive APC undiluted
Jambs and fuel filler area cleaned with Exlusive APC at 3:1
Clayed with Exclusive Medium Clay and clay lube.
First stage of polishing was done with Megs 105 / Menz S500 and B&S Yellow / Hydrotech Cyan on Flex 3403 rotary
Second stage was Menz 106FA on B&S Green via PC 7424
LSP was Colli 845.
Interior wiped down with Exclusive Interior Cleaner and Werkstat Essential towels
Glass cleaned with Exclusive Glass Cleaner and WW Glass towels
Tires dressed with Exclusive Tire Dressing

Total Time - Approx 20 hours

The car upon delivery.

Sad thing is, even on a cloudy day, I didn't need a light to see all the damage.

Nasty paint. I jokingly told him to stop parking it in his hedge. He apologized and said it was only twice. WTF!

Whats the trick to get rid of the mini scratches? Need to detail the family accord since it looks like crap, lots of small scratches.. Clay bar wont do anything... Any specific routine i'm supposed to do?

Clay bar won't remove scratches. Its merely to remove contaminants from the paint/glass. To get rid of the scratches, you'll need to either use a glaze like CG Wet Mirror to help mask some of the swirls or use a polisher to actually remove them.

wondering... what's wrong with the dash protectant?
